NEWS AND BRAGS FROM EGERTON VIZSLAS

February 2010

All the pups continue to grow and do well. We are taking Frankee to conformation classes in preparation for her first show the end of March and Murray will start after his Booster shot. Congratulations to Blossom who took a Group 2nd at the Halifax show on Valentines Day.

January 2010

Murray arrived right on schedule none the worse for the flight. He is a delight for sure, getting along with all our other dogs. Cali and Stella have each adopted him as their own and when he gets too rough with one of the other dogs, he runs to them for protection.

Piper/Cain pups arrived, all 9 of them, on Jan 21. Mom and babes are doing well. Mark says Cain's chest is stuck out so far he can hardly make it through the door.

We are in the countdown for the Piper/Cain litter. Xray confirmed today she is carrying 7 pups, hopefully all will arrive safe and sound, can't wait to meet them! We are also very excited about another new arrival in Egerton. Murman will arrive approximately Jan 25, flying in by West Jet from Toronto. In December we lost a very dear friend, Murray Locke, a sportsman, lover and perserver of nature, a true gentleman - Murman will be our tribute to him.

Blossom finished up the year 2009 as #2 Vizsla, #1 Female V, in Canada in conformation. Not bad considering we only show here 9 months of the year. We are very proud of her.

December 2009

As the year comes to a close, we here at Egerton would like to wish all of you, our family, friends, fellow animal lovers all the best in the coming year.

October 2009

Wow, where did the time go!!! We have been very busy here, having completed the house the end of May and moving in. What a difference from a 1 room cabin. Our summer has been filled with Dog Shows and puppies.

Cali/Cain litter was born on April 7, 2009, 5 little babes. From this litter, Reba has made her show debut and earned her first point. On August 21 the much anticipated Breeze/Mojo litter arrived, you should watch for Frankee in the ring and possibly Bro'dy. Then on Oct 27, our Stella/Cain litter was born, 3 beautiful plumb little pups. We will have these little gaffers until Christmas.

We showed locally travelling to NB, Amherst, Lunenburg and Glace Bay and also went to Ontario for 5 weeks finishing up with our Vizsla Canada National Speciality in Woodstock, Ontario. Charlee was the first to finish her Championship, earning 4 Best Puppy in Group Placements. She was also taken to Windsor where she was judged under 4 European judges and received 3 Excellent Evaulations and 1 Very Promising, earning a certificate for Junior Champion under this system. Brig finished his Championship in Ontario, where I was pleased to be holding the other end of the lead. At the Speciality weekend, handled by Deanna Ross, he received BPISS and also a BPIG. Unfortunately neither qualify him to take part in the Atlantic Puppy Awards, so he will just be shown in the regular shows on Sat and Sun. Pointblank's Texan, a Drum son, who came to NS to start on his title also finished up at the Woodstock weekend. Edge earned a nice Group 4th at Ontario Co in June with Deanna handling as well. Our girl Blossom has been doing very well. Currently #2 conformation Vizsla in Canada, she has earned a BPIG in February, as well as many other Group placements along the way including 2 Group 1st - I was handling for one of them!!

April 2009

April 18 and 19 brought the first spring show we ever attended in NS. The Pictou County Kennel Club (of which we are now members) did a great job organizing this event. We had Blossom in as a special and Charlee and Brig as Junior puppies. Blossom took breed both days, placing 4th in Group on Sat and 3rd on Sunday while Charlee took Best of Winners both days and a Best Puppy in Group on Sat. Thank you to Judges Martin Doherty and Skip Stanbridge for these wins and to Anita, Fred and Shayla for their handling. Now we have both Blossom and Charlee taking part in the Atlantic Puppy awards in Oct - it would be so cool if we could get one on Brig as well!

Nov 2008 to March 2009

We survived the winter in Nova Scotia - every try living in a 1 room cabin with a loft for sleeping and a sunporch with 9 - 11 dogs in it? I am very proud when I say "we survived the winter" ! We came to Ontario for Have to go hunting in the fall and to deliver Stella's pups to their new people, planning on coming back for Christmas. We had a breakdown in Quebec on the way back to NS - thank heaven for CAA and the warm hearted people in St Jolie - so decided not to risk it again when the weather is so cold.

Our 1st show was in February, Blossom's last show as a puppy. On February 14th she received Breed, a Group 4th and Best Puppy in Group. This means we get to go to the Atlantic Puppy Awards in PEI in October again!!! Charlee has gone to live with Anita,Tommy and Roscoe the GSP. Anita has been training her and will show her for the first time in Truro, NS the end of March. Brig will make his first outing at our home show, Pictou County Kennel Club, in Trenton, NS and he will be joined by Blossom and Charlee. One of Heidi's people have 2 pups and an open to show and another has 1 pup and an open so may get some good numbers out. Here's hoping.

Cali travelled well to Ontario. Liz will whelp her litter for us while we are away on an 8 day cruise. She is due the day before I get home, be nice if she waited but can understand if she does not. Poor little thing is big as a house already!

Aug to October 2008

Long time since I have been able to access my site and we have had some wonderful things happen in that time. In September, both Romeo and Bree complete their FDX titles! Stella and Romeo produced a litter of 8 beautiful pups on Sept 7th, sadly the breeding with Riley and Cali did not take so we will try again another time. Both are proven producers so we must have been too early with our matings. Blossom's 1st showing was in Halifax where she earned her first 2 points and Cain also picked up 2 points at that show. PCKC, our home club, hosted a show in Sept and Blossom took breed over our Special, Drum for her 1st 2 point major! Cain also picked up a point at this show. At the Truro Show, Blossom took the points on Sat as well as a Best Puppy in Group and Cain took the 2 points on Sunday. Java made her show debut, but is still very much a puppy.

In PEI, Cain took a 2 point win to complete his Championship on Saturday - thanks Heidi for the great job showing him. Blossom and handler, Amanda, took part in the Atlantic Puppy Awards but did not place. Better luck next year if we get a BPIG in Feb. On the Sunday, Blossom took Best of Winners to complete her Championship at 7 months old! We will special her and Cain in Halifax in Feb while Java Rose competes with her two new half siblings, Charlee and Brig for points. This weekend is Puppy pick up so we will see which little girl/girls are left and they will go on our website. At this point we have one available for sure.

July 2008

We had an awesome time at Woodstock, lots of great dogs there and the wins were spread out making a lot of happy folks. Congratulations to Romeo's little girl, Xena from Our Dream Kennels took Best of Opposite on Fri morning, our boy Cain from Redrunvizslas took Reserve Winners Dog on Friday afternoon and our girl Piper took BOS on Sat at the Vizsla Society of Canada Specialty. On Sun at Vizsla Canada Specialty Piper, Drum and Edge all made the final cut, but did not place. Still, that is quite an honor for our kennel as there were 53 entries with only 1 or 2 absentees.

Our next show will be in N S with Blossom (first show) and Cain and we will probably special Drum if we can find a handle r......

June 2008

We are a bit behind in our news, couldn't figure out how to work on the files from my laptop. I will have to get in to see a pro to figure it out. The move went well and after about 3 weeks withdrawal from my internet, we were able to find a company to hook us up. Edge picked up a Group 4th win in Orono which was pretty nice, We are heading back to Ont for Woodstock and to deliver Jack to his new family. We will also be breeding Stella to Romeo and Cali to Riley as both girls have co-operated by coming into season for our trip.

May 2008

We are in the throes of packing boxes, sorting out things and trips to the dump. Still, we managed to take in the field test. Romeo earned the 1st qualifying leg of his FDX, Drum earned the first 2 legs of his FDJr and Piper and Cain the first leg of the FDJr. Now that Bree's pups are 10 weeks old and gone to their new homes, she will join the gang for training and is entered this coming weekend for her FDX. Stella is coming back home. She needs to mature a bit more before we try again for her FD. She does everything except bring the bird all the way back and we don't want to push her. We will work on exercises with her until next year and try again.

April 2008

April 4th brought the arrival of Emma's pups - 5 beautiful little girls and 2 handsome boys. Mom and pups are doing well and we only have 1 little girl still available. We have started showing Cain and specialing Edge a bit. Cain has 4 points and Edge took breed 4 times out of 6 and has earned a Group 3rd and a Group 4th!!

Liz has been busy training everyone up for field. The first test will be at her place the first weekend in May

March 2008

My apologies to all of you who were trying to contact me while I was away. I thought I had set up my email to forward to my hot mail account, and it did, but it did not forward the addresses. And dummy that I am, I did not even think to have anyone get my phone messages.

John Denver said it all - Boy its good to be back home again! I was sooo homesick for my friends and my dogs - never going away that long again! You can imagine how anxious I was to see my dogs and Bree's new babies - they are so beautiful - OK, so maybe I am just a little bit prejudice. We are also awaiting Emma's very first litter. She goes for her ultra sound Mon Mar 10 to get an idea how many are in there and she is due approximately April 4th.

February 2008

I am updating February after the fact as we were away Jan, Feb and the first week in March. Congratulations to Ourdream Kennels Xena (Romeo's little girl) for completing her Championship in style with 2 Major wins putting her well over the top! Lily is enjoying her time in Nova Scotia with our friends Darrell and Joyce. She is thinking of making it her permanent home as loves the "one dog family" scenario - she has them almost trained as well. Meanwhile, Romeo, Cali, Stella and Breeze are getting lots of exercise and home cooked meals with Liz and Drum, Piper and Cain are driving Deanna and Murray crazy! On February 29 Breeze whelped 7 beautiful babies, 3 girls and 2 boys.......

January 2008

Happy New Year everyone! A busy year ahead for us as we plan our litters, shows, field test and NAVHDA entries. Havelock and I are starting off with a 2 month Retirement trip so if anyone is looking for us, I will get back to you as soon as I can. Our first Brag of the year is Ranger qualifies for the new CKC Grand Championship title. I believe he is one of 3 Canadian born Vizslas to qualify for this award an earned it by 3 years of age! Breeze has been bred to Romeo and Emma has been bred to him as well. Cali's breeding to Riley is postponed until her next season as the timing is not right for us.

DECEMBER 2007

Brantford show was a huge success for us! Our little star, Piper, took BOS all 3 days, finishing her Championship on the Fri with a BOW, bringing her to 10 points, we left her in the class on Sat for insurance points. She took BOW again for a 4 point win! Ranger took breed Sat and Sun as well as a Group 4th on the Sat - heavy competition as all the "Campaigners" are vying for top dog. Drum, not to be outdone by his sister and uncle, took WD all 3 days, completing his Championship on the Sunday (if you will recall, last year we finished Stella and Emma on the same weekend at the Credit Valley Show).

Congratulations also to Ourdream Kennel's Xena, sired by our Romeo, for taking BOW on the Sunday for a 3 point win.

NOVEMBER 2007

Romeo has been bred........stay tuned for news in approximately 4 more weeks!

The following weekend at the Ottawa Show, we got some points for our efforts. There were 5 entries all 3 days, Drum & Piper as Jr puppies, 2 open females and 1 open male (adults). Drum took the breed on Fri for 2 pts bringing him to 6 and Piper took breed on Sat for 2pts and Best of Opposite on Sun for 2 pts bringing her to 8 points.............drum roll please (no pun intended) Piper also took her 2nd Best Puppy in Group - 2 in a row! Way to go Deanna & Piper!

Nov 9, 10 & 11 was the Georgina Kennel Club show in Sutton. Our VSO Booster was on the Sunday so there were lots of entries at this show (23 on Sun) and although our pups did not earn any points, they certainly did well, both earning reserve over mature dogs and taking puppy breed. Uncle Ranger took breed all 3 days and on Sunday went 3rd in the Group, a huge win for him as it was a big Group. Our little Piper, handled by Murray Spearin, took Best Puppy in Group. Way to go Murray/Piper and Deanna/Ranger.

OCTOBER 2007

Lil, Cali, Bree, Romeo & Stella D'oro came hunting with us on Pelee Island. We got to see all the hard work Liz did with the 3 that stayed with her and happy to see all the pheasants running wild in NS on our property did not ruin Lil and Cali's manners in the field. Everyone did a good job, but I have to say, Bree was outstanding, holding point while birds flushed right under her nose and doing an amazing water retrieve. Hopefully our Pelee hunts won't end when we move to NS as we really enjoy it.

The Belleville show was almost a guarantee for points as no other V's were entered! Drum took breed on Fri and Sat and Piper on Sunday. They are tied at 4 points. The next show will be Nov 9, 10th and 11th in Sutton. There are 7 V's on Fri and Sat (3 of them ours) and the VSO is hosting a Vizsla Booster on Sunday with 23 entries! Good one for anyone interested in V's to go to. It is at the Sutton Fairgrounds and we are in at 9 am.

Thanksgiving weekend arrived along with Drum and Piper's first show and I was nervous! One never knows how pups will behave and they were the youngest V's entered, Piper the only girl. I handled Drum to Winners Dog, totally amazing, then Amanda took the Breed with Piper. Into Group goes Piper and I, my feet hardly touching the ground. The Judge is making her selection - the Lab, the Golden, the Springer, the Vizsla and the GSP! Stack them up again - around again - 1! 2! 3! 4! ........ folks, I have taken Puppy Groups with some of my dogs, but this was the first time I ever handled one to a Group Placement!!! - 2 points for Drum and 3 for Piper. It did not matter that even though Piper got Best of Opposite on Sun and Drum Best Puppy in Breed, there were no points for either, I will live off Sat, Oct 6th for some time to come!!

SEPTEMBER 2007

While the hunting of fur and feather continued, we made arrangements to take Drum and Piper to handling classes on Thurs evenings in preparation for their first show in Oct. In the meantime, Ranger was shown in Trenton - where we entered his first show at 6 months of age - and 3 years later, he got 2 Group seconds and a Group 3rd. We had many good comments on how well he showed.

The first weekend in September, we added a new addition to our Vizsla family, a little guy we hope will work out as a future stud dog, we called him Hurricain Egerton. He fit right in with the gang already in place, Lil and Cali taking him under their "wings" and Piper fast becoming his best buddy

AUGUST 2007

August brought about lots of change in our lives, beginning with our retirement on August 1. It made for a very busy time as we took in the Vizsla picnic and the Beretta Promotional Shoot hosted by Liz and Kris of Pointblank Kennels the first 2 weekends in August. In between, we packed our trailer for a two month trip to Nova Scotia. Bree, Romeo and Stella stayed with Liz for training while Lil, Cali, Ranger, Drum and Piper made the long journey home.

August was spent pointing (and chasing) pheasant all over the property and hunting field mice!

August also brought a New Champion to Egerton's extended family with Liz completing Tiger's. Way to go Liz and Tiger!!

JULY 2007

One of the best experiences I have ever had as a breeder was being presented with the first ever Rosette from The Vizsla Society of Ontario recognizing Ranger as the #1 Vizsla and the #10 Sporting Dog in Canada for 2006. The idea came from Marnie and Brian who campaigned Tavasz for 3 years and appreciate all the hard work involved in this venture.

Woodstock brought unpredictable weather as well as an unpleasant surprise for us. Because Deanna's dad was judging the All Pointing Breed Specialty on the Friday afternoon, neither she nor Murray could show the whole weekend! They had made arrangements for the Friday as they knew that was an issue, but it was a scramble to get handlers for Ranger, Edge and Stella. We would like to thank Deanna and Murray for moving heaven and earth to find handlers for everyone - Monica, for stepping in to help with Ranger - she took Best of Breed with him in a field of 27 at the Friday am Oxford show and took Best of Opposite at the Vizsla Canada Specialty He also got Best Canadian Bred and Best Field Dog. Also thanks to Jennifer for taking Ranger when Monica had a conflict and for handling Edge as well. Edge made the cut at both the VSO and Vizsla Canada Specialties - not bad for a 15 month old pup. Also thanks to Morgan and Kim for taking Edge and Stella in the ring.

Ranger, Stella and Edge went in the Kawartha shows to warm up for Woodstock. Ranger was in 4 shows, took Best of Breed in 3, Best of Opposite in 1 and got 2 Group 4ths. Edge and Stella were each in 2 shows and Stella took Best of Opposite in 1. Congratulations to Edge's sister, Tiger on her first 2 points.

JUNE 2007

On Fri, June 1st, Ranger took a Group 3rd placement at the Ontario County Kennel Club show in Orono. Although he looked amazing in the ring the whole weekend, we had to settle for breed on Sat and Sun.

MAY 2007

Ranger is not only #1 Vizsla in Canada for 2006, he is also #10 Sporting!!! Way to go Ranger and Deanna!!!

On Sat, May 26, Liz ran her Tiger and our Edge at the NAVHDA test. Both, although a bit disappointing results, prized. Tiger was a bit hormonal as she is coming into season and was a little reluctant to go into the water and was just not herself the whole day, scored an 88/112 for a Prize II. Edge had a perfect score up to the tracking part. He hit the track enough to pass, but found it easier to hunt with the wind. As a result, he scored 100/112 points for a Prize III (if a dog scores 50% of any category, it is an automatic Prize III)

At nearly 7 weeks old, the new kids in our household, Drum and Piper, continue to grow and get more confident with each passing day. Both have been going up and down stairs for a week and a half now and Piper will be pointing soon - she stole point from Romeo this am - ok, it was just on a bumblebee, but.......... anyway, watch for pictures on the "Our Dogs" page.

The Victoria Day weekend proved to be a good one as both Emma and Stella completed their FDJ titles, once again proving the versatility of Egerton Vizslas. Since Emma's "Mom and Dad" aren't hunters, she will go no further, but Stella will go on to earn her FD.

Rookie went to his new home which he will share with his new "brother",Ruger, Lily/Thorn boy. Caroline & Roger will do field with him and will let me show him as well. BONUS!!

Along with spring flowers, the first weekend in May brought the start of field tests. The OAPB test was held at the farm of Liz Outram. Liz ran her Egerton girl, Tiger, to complete her Field Dog Jr title. Edge also completed his title, handled in the morning by Liz and in the afternoon by Have. Stella and Emma both earned the first 2 legs of their FDJ.

The Bree/Bud pups are doing much better. With all that milk, they both got too fat and I learned about the term "Swimmers". Thanks to advice from more experienced breeders, I cut back on their nursing time, got them off their chests as much as possible and put "obstacles" in the whelping box so they would have to use their back legs more.

APRIL 2007

Ranger made his show debut for 2007 at the Oakwood show. He took Best of Breed all 3 days, but nothing in Group as he was a little on the lean side. Having Edge for a full time play mate in a big fenced yard keeps him moving!

The Cali/Romeo girls left this weekend (Apr 13th). Sleeman will go to BC on May 3rd and we are holding Rookie until a show/field home comes along. This was a high energy litter and Rookie will need an experienced hand.

Bree's close call with mastitis was nipped in the bud with 2 1/2 days of hot compressed and milking the back 2 teats. She had way too much milk for just 2 puppies.

The April showers are white and fluffy! In spite of the cold wind, we have begun field training with Stella, Edge, Romeo and Ranger. Ranger will be in his first show of 2007 the end of April, we are limiting them to those shows closer to home this year.

Bree had two beautiful pups, a boy and a girl. He is dark like Bree and smaller than the little girl. Because this litter is so small and we went to so much trouble to get it, (this is our Artificial Insemination breeding using chilled semen from Bud, Bowcot Pekogait's One Man Band) I will keep one of these pups and only place the other in a show/field home. That of course is providing they are both show quality.

MARCH 2007

Lily/Red pups all went to their new homes on the weekend - a bit less noise in my house going from 10 puppies to 5! Bree's due anytime now, but will be having a small litter which are all sold. Stay tuned to learn what she has in there - I can hardly stand the suspense when they get this close to whelping. It is just like opening Christmas presents!

Here in Campbellford, March came in like a lion! Here's hoping we have an early spring so we can get all these little gaffers outside to get used to things before they leave for their new homes. All the pups continue to do well. Cali's pups are 13 days old today and eyes just beginning to open. Lil's pups are 4 weeks and are very active and starting to show their personalities. They are so cute to watch.

We do not plan any shows until the end of April when we will possibly be taking our Ranger, and Liz's Playgirl and Tiger to Victoria Co. Depending on the weather, we will also look at starting field training with Liz mid March. Stella and Emma will be training for FDJr, Edge has one more leg for his FDJr, so we will go right into training him for FD and NAVHDA NA test, Ranger will start training for FD and Bree and Romeo for FDX (when Bree has hopefully weaned her puppies - we find out on March 7th if she took).

FEBRUARY 2007

On the morning of Feb 19, after a very sleepless night for both of us (and Lil as well), Cali gave birth to 5 beautiful babies, 3 girls and 2 boys. All are doing well. Lil's whelping box is next to Cali's with only a 4 foot high X pen between them and she was very interested in what was going on next door. To avoid Cali getting upset with her nosey neighbor, I put a 42" sheet of cardboard between so Lil would settle down. Being the clever girl she is, she climbed on the "pig rail" in her box so she could see over the obstruction - it was so funny!

Mary-Ellen from Our Dream Kennels has a female pup available due to a cancellation. Liz Outram from Pointblank Dogs has male puppies available. Both are members of the Vizsla Society of Ontario.

YEAAAAAAAH!!!! We have puppies!! Lil gave birth to 5 beautiful pups, 4 little girls and 1 boy, in the wee hours of Fri, Feb 2.

Mary-Ellen tells me there is still 1 male and 1 female pup available from the Romeo/Bryn litter.

JANUARY 2007

Bree is being bred to Bud by AI this week at the East Oshawa Animal Clinic. Ultra sound will follow in 5 weeks - lets keep our fingers crossed!!

Cali/Romeo pups have also been confirmed by ultra sound - Dr Adrien thinks possibly 6, but I don't know! She is due approx Feb 17th

Romeo/Bryn puppies were born Jan 13th, 4 girls and 3 boys. Congratulations to Ourdream Kennels of Dunnville.

Lily/Red pups confirmed with an ultra sound - Dr Bruce says at least 8 while his wife, Dr Gwen, thinks 6 or 7. Time will tell who is closest.

DECEMBER 2006

WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK EVERYONE WHO VISITED OUR SITE, OUR HOME, CAME TO DOG SHOWS AND FIELD TESTS TO MEET OUR KIDS. SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE WONDERFUL FOLKS THAT MADE AN EGERTON VIZSLA PART OF THEIR FAMILY. WE HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A HAPPY, HEALTHY & PROSPEROUS 2007!

Romeo/Cali breeding has taken place - can't wait to see these pups! Lil is looking a bit round now as she is 5 weeks today. She should have 4 more weeks to go from the date of the last breeding .

Credit Valley was our last dog show of 2006 and what a show it was.! Ranger took breed all 3 days and made the cut, but no Group Placements. Edge took breed puppy all 3 days, but no Puppy Group. On Fri, Dec 8, Emma took Winners Bitch for 1 point, putting her at 9 points! On Sat, our little Stella took Best of Winners finishing her Championship at under 1 year. On Sunday, Emma took her final point to finish her Championship at 9 1/2 months of age. Tiger made her show debut, breeder handled. We did not get any points, but it was a fun experience for both of us. We will try again in late spring after a few handling classes.

Lily has been bred to Redman, pups should arrive approximately Jan 31, 2007. Cali will be bred to Romeo this weekend, pups should be due approx Feb 17th.

NOVEMBER 2006

We took Ranger, Stella and Edge to the Ottawa Show weekend of Nov 17th. On Friday, Ranger got a Group 3rd win, Stella got Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite for a point and Edge got Best of Winners for 2 points, completing his Championship at just 8 months!!

We found the Show of Shows to be less exciting than last year. Instead of having a separate panel of judges, keeping the suspense going till the very end, the judges that were there for the regular shows plus 2 more drew for the Groups they would be judging that evening. One of the judges we got was the same one we had that day, so we knew even before the judging started, he was not going to place. To get the scores needed in a competition like that, both judges must love your dog. Was it still exciting to be there?.................You Bet Your Booties!!

Back to dog shows! Edge took 3 points at the Georgina Kennel Club show, beating Stella all 3 days. He now sits at 9 points

OCTOBER 2006

Our annual hunting trip to Pelee was a lot of fun for dogs and hunters alike. Thanks to Liz Outram for the great job she does training our "kids" making them such a pleasure to hunt over.

This weekend at the Belleville Kennel Club Show, Ranger picked up 2 Group 4ths, and Edge got Best of Winners 2 days in a row. He is at 6 points. Thanks Deanna and Murray...

Romeo completed his FD title at the VSO test. His son, Edge got the first 2 legs of his FD Jr. Thanks Liz and Kris......

SEPTEMBER 2006

Pineridge Show in Port Hope - Emma got Best of Winners (Fri) and Winners Bitch on Sat for 3 more points Edge got Best of Winners for a 2 point win on Sat (his first 2 points in his first show!) and Stella D'Oro got Best of Winners on Sun for 2 points and for a Best Puppy in Group! Same weekend at the Brittany Spaniel Field Tests, Romeo picked up the first 2 legs of his FD and Tiger, his baby girl, got the first leg of her FDJ at just 6 months.

Wow!! what an exciting month. Exactly 1 year from his last one, Ranger got his second Best in Show - this time in Cornwall Ont, from Judge Dr Michael Woods. Way to go Ranger and Deanna! Stella D'oro picked up her second point in Halifax and Emma got 5 points between Halifax and Trenton shows.

AUGUST 2006

Stella D'oro gets her first show point! Ranger gets more Group placements, including a Group 1st at Temiskaming

JULY 2006

Ranger continues to pick up lots of Group placements, including a Group 1st at Woodstock, home of Ontario's largest outdoor show and at the same venue, he won the Vizsla Society of Ontario's Specialty Show. Also at Woodstock, Panna won Best of Opposite in the VSO's Puppy sweeps and finished her Championship in the regular classes. Romeo is training with Liz for his Field Dog title.

JUNE 2006

Stella D'oro received a Best Puppy in Group at the Bobcaygeon show. Ranger received numerous Best of Breed and Group placements

MAY 2006

Panna handled by professional gundog trainer Liz Outram earned her 3rd leg to complete her FDJr title at the GSPC test on May 20th. She had a 91 pt average. Way to go Panna!!!!!

On May 6th at the OAPBA Field Dog tests Panna handled by professional gundog trainer Liz Outram and Rubik handled by owner Declan Williams each picked up the first two legs of their FDJr titles.
